About The Axolotl Guide

I built this site because most axolotl care content online is one of two things: a pet-store article written by someone who has never owned an axolotl, or a TikTok video that shows the wrong size tank with the wrong food and the wrong temperature.

The third group is good: actual axolotl keepers on Reddit and a handful of veterinary specialists. Their information is correct but scattered across thousands of comments.

This site consolidates the right information from the right sources, written in a way that doesn't waste your time.

How We Make Money

Full transparency: this site uses Amazon affiliate links. When you buy gear through a link on this site, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price you pay is identical. Commissions are how we cover hosting and keep adding content.

I will never recommend a product just because it pays well. If something gets into a "best of" list it's because it's the best option for the use case, full stop. I'd rather make less money than steer someone wrong on a 10-year-lifespan pet.

Affiliate Disclosure: The Axolotl Guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.
